ZEE5 has announced the release date of Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa, a film starring Vinay Pathak and Neil Bhoopalam in key roles. The film will begin streaming on April 10.
Directed by Rajat Kapoor, the film is a mix of murder mystery and dark comedy. The story is set around a party with 15 friends, where a mysterious murder takes place. The central question is simple. Who wanted him dead.
The film did not have a wide theatrical release. It was first shown at the MAMI Film Festival in November 2023. Now, it is finally reaching a wider audience through streaming.
Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa has a strong supporting cast, including Ranvir Shorey, Saurabh Shukla, Koel Purie, MK Raina, Palomi Ghosh, Chandrachoor Rai and Sadiya Siddiqui. Rajat Kapoor will also appear in an important role.
Rajat Kapoor is an excellent actor who has surprised us with many incredible roles, it will be interesting to see what he brings as a director. If if it something as spectacular like the direction of Boman Irani then it will be a treat.
The film is produced by Sameer Nair and Deepak Segal under Applause Entertainment, along with Rajat Kapoor’s Mithya Talkies. Music for the film is composed by Sagar Desai.
This release also marks Rajat Kapoor’s return as a director after RK/Rkay, which released in 2022.
