A24 has dropped another trailer for Heretic, a psychological horror directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The new clip shows Hugh Grant in his creepiest and most sinister role ever!
Heretic follows two young missionaries, Sister Barnes (Sophie Thatcher) and Sister Paxton (Chloe East), who find themselves in a dire situation after knocking on the wrong door. As they engage more with the unsettling Mr. Reed (Grant), it quickly becomes clear that something is horribly off about his home. What unfolds is a dangerous game of cat and mouse, where it’s all too clear who the prey is.
The newest trailer praises the film and its leading man. It seems Grant may have delivered the best performance of his entire career in this one.
Heretic recently had its world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, where it bagged critical acclaim. Grant received unanimous acclaim for his bone-chilling performance in the movie. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a ‘fresh’ critic score of 90% based on 20 certified reviews.
A24 has also changed the release window of Heretic, which will now hit theatres globally on November 8, nearly a week before its previous release date of November 15. Stay tuned for more updates. Check out the new trailer right here!
