All Of Us Are Dead was among the first K-dramas on Netflix that benefited immensely from the early “K-drama wave” across the globe, which spread like wildfire, especially after the release of Squid Game in 2021. On top of that, the series also ended up redefining the zombie genre for a new generation.
Now, after a long wait of four years, we finally have an update about All Of Us Are Dead Season 2.
According to multiple online reports, the second season is expected to premiere next year (2026), inviting fans to return to the blood-stained halls of Hyosan High.
The first season of All Of Us Are Dead succeeded where many zombie tropes fail. Instead of commencing the series with a world already destroyed by a zombie apocalypse, it focused on the point of origin, right from the very beginning.
The series captured a sense of claustrophobic urgency that was impossible to look away from. Apart from the gore, the debut season also successfully captured the emotional realism of its characters.
Instead of grizzled soldiers, we followed terrified teenagers and exhausted teachers. It proved that even in a saturated market, a fresh perspective could make zombies feel terrifyingly new again.
Earlier this year, an official production video confirmed that Season 2 is actively underway. With filming expected to span much of 2025, the timeline is finally solidified after years of uncertainty.
But this long gap makes sense, as Season 2 reportedly moves the story out of the confines of the high school, teasing a larger scale, more destruction, and more elaborate sets.
The stakes for the sequel are arguably higher than the first season. But it also benefits from the widespread acclaim earned by the debut. This means the second season can afford a long four-year gap and will quickly start building hype online the moment Netflix announces its release window.
Let’s see what All Of Us Are Dead Season 2 has in store for us. Stay tuned for more updates.
