The Matt Reeves Batman Universe is all set to expand. With the release of The Penguin on MAX, given the hype it has garnered, no wonder the producers might wish to replicate this success. After all, who hates millions of bucks? Dylan Clark, producer of The Batman, has confirmed that HBO is ready to make more spin-offs set in this new iteration of Gotham.
We might have a number of stories that the fans might want to see. The Batman is a character who has the irony of being a loner all the while having the most number of associates and rogues attached to him. So what potential stories might we get served?
Well, we already had a Gotham series. And boy was it loved. The Reeves universe can definitely use a similar show. Encompassing the corruption in GCPD. Or maybe the life of commisioner Gordon and his association with the Bat. Maybe we can have another spin-off about the cat woman. Her life as the daughter of a mob boss, living in obscurity. A Catwoman project will definitely be appreciated, as the last Catwoman solo outing by Halle Berry was definitely something that left a bad taste in our mouths.
Or lets just stick to the formula. Another villain, let’s say a certain DA losing his White Knight status (Harvey Dent). An Assassin with one eye and a vendetta (deathstroke). A broken man who had to endure one Bad Bad Day (do we even have to say his name?) It is to be seen what the studios cook up this time. As of now, the penguin is ready to take over Gotham on 19th September.
