If we talk about having fond memories of watching wholesome films including every emotion and various genres, Tom Hanks would probably be a part of your memory lane. His films have been masterpieces, each with a deep bond with the audiences, making Hanks one of the most beloved Hollywood actors.
Whether it is Forrest Gump, Cast Away, The Terminal, or A Man Called Otto, his films have been influential in many ways. As he looks to turn back the clock by reuniting with the makers of Forrest Gump in his upcoming movie Here co-starring with Robin Wright, it will be a matter of debate for Indian audiences to show him love and watch the film in theatres.
From the dinosaur era to the present, “Here” chronicles many tales and characters, all linked by a single setting and a single frame. While the main storyline, which centers on Richard played by Tom Hanks, and Margaret Young played by Robin Wright, honors the various periods of American history through several otherwise entirely unconnected plotlines, it also highlights the entirety of the human experience, including marriages, births, and deaths.
A film full of deep thoughts that would create an atmosphere that gives a correct realization about how life completes a full circle full of emotions. As for the early reviews, the film has been opened to mixed reviews in the US where people have stated how the makers tried to replicate what they did in Forrest Gump but are unable to connect the same way as they did before.
As for its Indian release, it will be released on November 8th and faces competition from already reigning heavyweights Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again. It will be difficult for Tom Hanks to deliver in India given the mixed reviews and underwhelming outing it had in the US. However, there are several fans of the Hollywood star who would love to give it a go. Only time will tell how Indian fans will perceive the upcoming drama in theatres.
