High school is a contradictory time for most. While some have the time of their lives, others, unfortunately, do not. That being said, while the stereotypical American high school experience that we’ve been shown and gotten used to, through high school rom-coms isn’t quite the reality, it’s not far from the truth either.
Agree with it or not, these rom-coms make for the perfect watch when you’re cuddling up with either a loved one (furry or not) or even your soft-toys. One such comfort title is the Drew Barrymore starrer ‘Never Been Kissed’. Available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, the film follows a journalist Josie Geller who is being made to relive her nightmare when she is made to disguise herself as a high school student only for the sake of a story.
Things go awry for her when she enlists the help of her brother, and ends up falling in love with one of her teachers! The ensemble cast for the title includes Drew Barrymore, David Arquette, Michael Vartan, Jessica Alba, and more in leading roles.
The film traverses the complexities of young adulthood in that characteristic 2000s light-hearted comedic way, which is why it makes for a perfect comfort watch!
