As bad as it was for the movies, the television side of the superhero media remains pretty much up top. The movies have reached an all-time low with an insane number of failures at box office. If it were not for Deadpool and Wolverine, the entire argument over the subject of superhero fatigue would have been entirely one-sided.
And while it’s true we got to see a massive disappointment in the form of Madame Webb and an even bigger disappointment in the form of Joker: Folie A Deux, the television shows have been quite great at delivering quality entertainment.
Starting off with, of course, the star of the show, The Penguin. The continuation of the Batman franchise from Matt Reeves, the show follows The Penguin on his quest to get to the top of the Gotham Underworld.
There was, of course, X men 97. The year has been of the mutants. The show was Marvel’s another attempt to bank on the nostalgia of its fans. While the continuation of the original cartoon from 1997, the series brought back a lot of fans who are now preparing for the Marvel’s own Mutant Saga.
Amidst all of this, Agatha All Along has been the underdog, which no one expected to be this good. As it turns out, the show has been a second-in-a row hit for the MCU, after Loki season 2.
And to be clear, the year is far from over for the superhero shws, as in December we will finally get our hands on Creature Commandos. The show has a huge hype as it is the first step into the new James Gunn DCU.
