Yes, there are some truly bizarre and nonsensical scenes in the movie. For instance, one moment shows Ivo watching an Italian soap opera. Considering the scale of the movie’s plot, this scene should not make sense at all—at least, not logically. Yet, it somehow works, thanks to the supremely talented Jim Carrey.
