Thank God we are not getting a mid-season break this time! Sorry, guys. We know there are better ways to start an article, but the latest Invincible Season 3 teaser confirms that the upcoming batch of episodes will not have a mid-season break—something that badly hurt Season 2.
Invincible Season 2 performed well in terms of storyline and voice performances. It definitely raised the stakes for Mark Grayson, especially after the Viltrumites confronted him about joining the Viltrumite Empire and preparing Earth for their invasion. But we all know Mark alone cannot save Earth and the billions of humans residing on it. He needs all the support he can get to protect the planet.
However, the showrunners made a huge mistake by splitting Season 2 into two parts, a decision that clearly did not sit well with fans. Part 1 had four episodes and ended in November 2023, while Part 2 arrived in mid-March 2024. This gap was frustrating for the show’s fanbase, especially since they had already waited over two years for the second season.
The latest Invincible Season 3 teaser shows Cecil scolding Mark for taking a four-month break during Season 2, alluding to the mid-season break. Both characters agree that they won’t repeat this mistake. The teaser concludes with the Season 3 release date: February 6, 2025 (with no mid-season break, of course).
