Hollywood loves itself an adaptation. Whether it be a book, a play, a movie already made, or, in this case, a true event. Now, that is not a bad thing. However, there is indeed an abundance of remakes and adaptations. The next movie in line to fall on this list is going to be “Lunik Heist,” a movie set in the space age, and it already has a cast studded with stars.
The movie has a lot of talent with Jared Leto, John Mulaney, and Lupita Nyong’o. The direction will be done by Kemp Powers, who was nominated for an Oscar and also had a hand in the making of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”.
The plot will revolve around a mission to steal a Soviet spacecraft in 1959 Mexico. The movie will take notes from an MIT Technology Review Paper. Jared Leto will also have a hand in the production of the film. Leto himself is an Oscar-winning actor for his role in Dallas Buyers Club and is set to appear in TRON: ARES.
Talking about Lupita Nyong’o, she recently won everyone’s heart in the DreamWorks masterpiece “The Wild Robot.” John Mulaney, on the other hand, has worked with Kemp in the Spider-Verse movies and has an Emmy under his belt.
So, will a star-studded cast be able to shoot for the moon? Many details are still under wraps, which will soon surface for everyone to make speculations.
