Brad Winderbaum recently teased us with the possibility of a Ghost Rider show. The head of Marvel Televison made a very ambitious statement, showing that at least someone at Disney has some idea about what the fans actually want.
Given the tonal shift we are experiencing at Marvel with the recent projects, Ghost Rider makes total sense. The audience is ready to take on something mature and gritty for once. It is about time Disney stopped liquefying the gravity of its characters like it did with the hulk. Now that we have Moonn Knight, taking multiple gunshots point blank, or Deadpool and Wolverine with the 118 F-Bombs. The audience is aching for more.
Ghost Rider has already made a few appearances, whether it be Nicholas Cage’s Johnny Blaze in the early 2000s or the much-loved Hellcharger riding Robbie Reyes by Gabriel Luna in the Agents of SHIELD show.
For Winderbaum, the best iteration would be Danny Ketch’s Ghost Rider. Which explored the mythology of the character. Now that we have a confirmed presence of the demon Mephisto, it is only about time his Bounty Hunter rolls in. Brad Winderbaum has made it clear, that he would greenlight the project when ever it shows up on the project board. It is to be seen, where do we get see the flaming skull in the MCU.
