Netflix has revealed the runtimes for Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2, giving fans a clearer idea of how the final chapter of the series will unfold. Volume 2 will release on December 26 at 6.30 AM IST and will feature three episodes, each running for over an hour. This time, things will be longer and you can expect to spend your Christmas and New Year binge-watching.
Chapter Five titled Shock Jock has a runtime of 1 hour and 8 minutes. Chapter Six Escape From Camazotz is the longest episode in Volume 2 at 1 hour and 15 minutes. Chapter Seven The Bridge runs for 1 hour and 6 minutes. Together, these episodes will carry the story toward its final confrontation and emotional resolution.
The series finale Chapter Eight The Rightside Up will release separately on New Year’s Day at 6.30 AM IST. The final episode has a runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes, making it one of the longest episodes in the history of the show. However, it is still shorter than Season 4’s finale The Piggyback, which ran for nearly two and a half hours.
The slightly shorter runtime suggests a more focused ending rather than an extended spectacle. After nearly a decade of storytelling, the creators appear to be aiming for a tight and decisive conclusion.
With these runtimes confirmed, expectations are high for an ending that balances scale and emotion. As Stranger Things prepares to sign off, fans now know exactly how much time they will spend saying goodbye to Hawkins and its characters.
