Barack Obama will be putting his iconic voice to work in the new Netflix Original environmental documentary series ‘Our Oceans’. Executive producers James Honeyborne, Barack, and Michelle Obama, as well as Freeborne Media, Higher Ground Productions, and Wild Space Productions, are behind the project.
The five episodes of Our Oceans, each devoted to a different ocean around the world, will be narrated by the former president. This means that viewers will get knowledge about the heists and migrations of humpback whales traversing the Pacific Ocean, as well as the fascinating facts about the 75,000 miles of sea that separate them and how walruses in the Arctic Ocean are adapting to climate change.
The series promises to provide thrilling footage captured from the world’s five oceans. In an official statement released, the production team has spent an astonishing 40 years on-site capturing everything needed for the 5-episode project.
A close-up of a vibrant mantis shrimp, flying schools of fish, frightening images of orcas chasing seals, and much more can be seen in the teaser for the next series. With the use of recently developed underwater filmmaking technology, filmmakers were able to document several behaviors of ocean creatures that had never been seen before in Our Oceans.
In a thrilling and exciting dive into the ocean, the former President has expressed how thrilled he was during the filming and recording process of the series. It all comes down to 20th November as Barrack Obama will guide viewers through five different overwhelming oceans on their big screens.
