If you are a subscriber to Netflix, then you would most certainly know about The Night Agent Season 2. The first season was a massive hit and the second one is also doing well.
Fans of The Night Agent wasted no time diving into Season 2 when it dropped on Netflix, making it the most-watched show of the week from January 20-26. In just four days, the new season pulled in 13.9 million views. Nothing surprising as the people were more than ready for another round of high-stakes action and political intrigue.
But while these numbers are impressive, they don’t quite match the explosive debut of Season 1. When The Night Agent first arrived in 2023, it took Netflix by storm, racking up 168.7 million hours watched in just four days. That roughly translates to 20.6 million views, which is much much higher than Season 2’s 13.9 million. So while the new season is off to a strong start, it hasn’t quite reached the same level of frenzy as the first one.
Interestingly, Season 2’s arrival also sparked fresh interest in the first season. Many fans (or maybe new viewers catching up) went back to rewatch Season 1, pushing it to No. 4 on Netflix’s charts with 4.9 million views for the week.
While Season 2 hasn’t quite matched the historic debut of its predecessor, it’s still holding its ground as one of Netflix’s biggest shows. Now, the real question is, will it keep up the momentum in the coming weeks? Fans will just have to wait and see.
