The series runs two tracks along two timelines: in one, two detectives (Collette and Wever) are investigating and looking for a serial rapist and in second, during the assault of the girl whose was charged with a crime for reporting that she was raped and it was her initial accusations that led to the investigation in the first place.
Co-created by Susannah Grant, Ayelet Waldman and Michael Chabon, ‘Unbelievable’ has has received widespread critical acclaim and was praised for its unique way of approaching the classic crime formula where the spotlight was on the victims and also showed how the American judicial system is not without its own flaws.
