Marvel has dropped the official teaser trailer for Thunderbolts*, featuring the likes of Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Hannah John Kamen (Ghost), Wyatt Russell (US Agent), and Olga Kurylenko (Taskmaster). Along these talents, we also see Geraldine Vishwanathan and Lewis Pullman making their MCU debut as Mel and Bob, who later becomes Sentry. Seinfeld fame Julia Louis-Dreyfus returns as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
Helmed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts* is produced by Kevin Feige, with Jason Tamez, Brian Chapek, Louis D’Esposito, and Scarlett Johansson serving as its executive producers.
The new clip opens with Yelena making a surprise visit to the ‘full and filled’ Alexei Shostakov (Harbour). She reveals that something is wrong with her. Soon, we see the Thunderbolts confronting the consequences of their past deeds, actions they took to ensure their survival. Some of these deeds are certainly not something to be proud of. Moments later, we see them all trapped inside a large room, only to discover that a mysterious person is trying to kill them.
Based on what we see in the latest trailer, all Thunderbolts are left with no choice except working for Valentina (Louis-Dreyfus). Is she the one trying to slaughter the MCU’s latest band of misfits? It’s too soon to tell!
