Titan OS has forged a new partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the launch of Sony One channels. Through this partnership, the company will launch the Sony One FAST channel portfolio on select Philips Smart TVs and Sony Android TVs that are already operating on Titan OS, bringing its content to over 9 million households across Europe.
Jacinto Roca, CEO of Titan OS, confirmed this news during the recent Content Partners Summit at Mipcom.
Titan OS is an emerging technology company, currently headquartered in Barcelona. It also has branches in Taipei and Amsterdam. The firm aims to promote collaborations across the global TV ecosystem to expand business together with TV manufacturers, media firms, content creators, retailers, brands, and publishers. It specialises in cultivating solutions and relevant software to leverage the full potential of Connected TV.
With this partnership, viewers will be able to enjoy a “24/7 schedule” of prominent movies and TV shows, including Comedy HITS, Sony One Comedy TV, Faves, Thriller TV, Action HITS, Blacklist, Sony One Shark Tank, and Dragon’s Den.
The Sony One portfolio features both genre-based and single-IP channels, with content feeds that are carefully curated and localized for European audiences.
Apart from Loca, the panel was also attended by many notable figures, such as Tiina Piirso, VP of Business Development & Global FAST Strategy at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Maxime Carboni, CBO at Euronews, Richard Young, MD of History Hit and FAST at Little Dot Studios.
