Why Netflix’s 2026 Streaming Lineup Looks Unmissable

Why Netflix’s 2026 Streaming Lineup Looks Unmissable

Now that the Stranger Things fever is over, let’s shift our attention to 2026’s streaming lineup on Netflix, which looks pretty stacked with plenty of heavy hitters. Let’s start the proceedings with the two-part release of Bridgerton Season 2 (January 29 and February 26).

Netflix will welcome viewers in spring via the second season of One Piece, titled “Into the Grand Line” (March 10), followed quickly by the April 16 return of the Emmy-winning series Beef with its new sophomore chapter as well.

Fans can also look forward to the second season of the ambitious sci-fi epic 3 Body Problem and the new installments of the heist drama Lupin.

Wait, did we say that the Stranger Things fever is over? Well, we have to chew these words as the franchise is set to expand its roots under the talented guidance of the Duffer Brothers via Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85, an animated spinoff series, along with another spinoff title, The Boroughs.

Fans of epic fantasy can look forward to the return of Avatar: The Last Airbender, as the live-action crew prepares for a massive showdown against Daniel Dae Kim’s Fire Lord Ozai.

Additionally, Netflix is breathing new life into John Steinbeck’s classic East of Eden. Decades after the famous James Dean film, this modern episodic adaptation features a powerhouse cast including Florence Pugh, Christopher Abbott, Hoon Lee, and Martha Plimpton.

The thriller and drama slate is equally busy, led by the fourth season of The Lincoln Lawyer on February 5, which puts Mickey Haller in the hot seat as he fights to clear his own name of a murder charge.

Political intrigue also returns with the fourth installment of The Diplomat, while The Night Agent sees Peter Sutherland diving back into danger. His latest mission involves a manhunt for a treasury agent who uncovers a deep conspiracy of financial crimes and professional killers.

The fantasy epic The Witcher is officially drawing to a close, with Geralt of Rivia’s adventures set to conclude in a fifth and final season arriving in 2026. Similarly, the fan-favourite coming-of-age drama Outer Banks is also entering its final chapter, as the series returns for a fifth season to wrap up the story of the Pogues.

In the realm of adaptations, Jane Austen’s beloved Pride and Prejudice is being reimagined as a television series featuring a high-profile cast that includes Emma Corrin, Olivia Colman, and Jack Lowden.

Additionally, the gritty world of Man on Fire is returning to the screen. While many remember the Denzel Washington film, this new series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and draws its inspiration directly from the original book series by A.J. Quinnell.

Now, let’s head to the movies department.

One of the most anticipated cinematic events of the year is Greta Gerwig’s fresh take on The Chronicles of Narnia. The adaptation is set for a massive holiday rollout, beginning with an IMAX theatrical run in November before arriving on Netflix this December.

Other high-profile movie releases include the gritty crime thriller The Rip, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, on January 16. Viewers can also look forward to a third Enola Holmes film and the feature-length series finale, Heartstopper Forever, later this year.

Cillian Murphy also returns as Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which hits theatres on March 6 and moves to streaming on March 20. Stay tuned for more updates.
