Amazon has revealed who is playing Goro Majima, one of the wildest and most unpredictable characters in the Yakuza games, in the upcoming live-action ‘Like A Dragon: Yakuza’ series.
Majima will be the show’s protagonist, as confirmed by Sega. The globally prominent video game company also launched a new teaser revealing the actor who will be seen playing Majima via its recent live stream.
Munetaka Aoki will be seen playing Majima in the upcoming live-action Yakuza series. This makes sense as he’s also voicing the character in ‘Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’. Apart from Aoki, the new teaser also unveils Kento Kaku as Akira Nishikiyama and Ryoma Takeuchi as Kazuma Kiryu. The clip also teases plenty of action but does not reveal the show’s plot.
We may see Kiryu, a former Yakuza, getting pulled back into the world of organized crime in the show. He’s forced to reconnect with his old gang and his childhood friend, Nishikiyama. The story will also show flashbacks to Kiryu’s past to explain why he is the way he is now and how his past actions have affected his reputation and relationships.
It’s surprising that we still don’t have the full cast of Like a Dragon: Yakuza, especially with the show set to debut on October 24, which is nearly a month away. Stay tuned for more updates.
