Kelsey Grammer is ready to return to the world of the MCU as Beast after appearing in the post-credits scene of Brie Larson’s ‘The Marvels’. The Frasier fame has confirmed that he has had “some conversations” with Marvel Studios about a potential return for his prominent X-Men character.
In his recent interview with ComicBook.com, Grammar was asked about his intentions to reprise the role of Beast in a future MCU project after ‘The Marvels’. This is what he said:
“There’s nothing I can talk about. What I do know is that there was a huge sort of outburst when I showed up at the end of The Marvels, I guess it was. The response was really almost… it wasn’t unexpected. There’d be some response, but it was pretty overwhelming, and so there are some conversations.”
In a surprise twist, Kelsey Grammer’s Dr. Hank McCoy, aka Beast, appears in The Marvels’ post-credits scene to greet Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) after she wakes up in an alternate reality. This marked the first introduction of an X-Men character into the MCU. Additionally, Monica encounters a different version of her mother, Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), who is alive in this alternate universe, unlike her original timeline. Lynch played Binary in that scene.
Beast has always proved himself as a valuable asset to the X-Men. His scientific expertise and leadership skills could make him a valuable ally in future MCU adventures. Only time will tell if Grammer will have more roles in the MCU as the universe expands to include mutant characters, especially after the recent releases of Deadpool & Wolverine and the X-Men ‘97 Disney+ series. Stay tuned for more updates.
