Moana is not just a little girl anymore, she’s also now a big sister. Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the first look image of Moana’s little sister, Simea, who will appear in the upcoming sequel.
Set to arrive in theatres globally on November 27, Moana 2 has plenty of fresh faces, including the protagonist’s sister, Simea, who will strengthen Moana’s bond with her home.
Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda voices Simea in the forthcoming sequel. The actor has described the character as “Moana’s mini.” In her recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lambert-Tsuda pointed out the energetic nature and cuteness of Simea.

The sequel will present another one of Moana’s adventures. However, the stakes are at an all-time high this time. After receiving a mysterious call from her ancestors, Moana embarks on a dangerous voyage to the far reaches of Oceania. She must find a hidden island in order to lift the curse that causes devastating storms in her homeland. Things take a dramatic turn when she encounters Matangi (Awhimai Fraser), a supremely powerful underworld deity. She realizes that she has no other choice but to reunite with her old friend Maui (Dwayne Johnson) to defeat Matangi and save her home.
Moana’s love for Simea makes her reluctant to leave home this time. She worries that her quest could keep her away from her little sister for a long time.
Moana 2 is set to arrive in theatres on November 27. Stay tuned for more updates.
