This October is the time for big shows, as Netflix slowly but gradually includes all the OG animes now it is time for “Dragon Ball Daime”.
Yes you heard it right! “Dragon Ball” will be on Netflix.
Dragon Ball Daima will have its world premiere at a special “Dragon Ball Daimatsuri” event on October 6 at Tokyo Big Sight.
In 1984 Akira Tomriyama created this Japanese franchise which till this date is a fan favourite, but!
But, this “Dragon Ball” won’t be the same as before this is “Dragon Ball Daime”,
Yoshitaka Yashima who was the animation director on “Dragon Ball Super” and “Digimon franchise” and Aya Komaki who is the director of the world famous anime “One Piece series” are serving as series directors.
Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is adapting the late Akira Toriyama’s character designs for animation, and Yuuko Kakihara is supervising and writing the series scripts.
Franchise creator Akira Toriyama is credited for the new anime’s story and character designs, don’t worry you won’t get so see new character design, it is the same with a little bit of swing.
Netflix announced that the series will first be debuting in Asia, on October 14th, then globally on October 18th.
And, for those who are wondering where is Crunchyroll?
Don’t worry, it will premiere on Crunchyroll, on October 11th.
The anime will premiere on a new anime programming block on Fuji TV on Fridays at 11:40 p.m, on October 11th.
In the series, Goku, Vegeta, Bulma and other Og characters throughout the series become younger than usual.
We know that after so many incidents in “Dragon Ball Super”, “Dragon Ball GT” and “Dragon Ball Kai”, this can be a treat to the fandom or it can fail to meet the fan’s expectations.
But being “Dragon Ball” a juggling of nostalgia with a tint of newness won’t hurt the viewers.
