Squid Game Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix. The series, which debuted on the 26th of December, has to be the single biggest project of Netflix in the whole of 2024. The series is a direct sequel to 2021’s Squid Game, which quickly became the most successful and watched show ever on the platform.
Although the second season is slightly different, it will still be a very big series, and the groundwork of the success has already been laid by the largest debut of any series on Netflix.
So, things are bright for Netflix.
While the second season of the series is running, Netflix did some things. They launched a video that said that the release date of the third season is on the 27th of June. It shouldn’t be surprising because the second and third seasons were greenlit simultaneously, and yes, the third season could release around the June 27 time.
There were also strong rumors about Leonardo DiCaprio joining the third season; however, that has been quashed.
Most likely, this leak of the release date was a marketing gimmick because such things ensure a sense of urgency. Just because the third season is coming soon, more and more people will try to finish the second season.
But, let’s wait to see how much of it is true.
