Shiva Rajkumar’s Kannada neo noir crime thriller ‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ released in theatres last month and did decent in both critical and commercial sense. Helmed by Narthan, ‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ is a prequel to the 2017 film ‘Mufti’.
‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ follows the story of the titular character’s journey from being a law abiding responsible lawyer to the kind hearted crime boss of Karnataka.
The film receive positive reviews from critics who claimed that ‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ is an impactful telling of the character’s backstory blending action, drama and intensity. Though it has been criticised for being predictable and not having meaningful twists.
Written and directed by Narthan, ‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ stars Shiva Rajkumar, Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Avinash, Devaraj, and Chaya Singh among others. Produced by Geetha Shivarajkumar under Geetha Pictures, ‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ will premiere on Prime Video on 25th December, 2024.
