The updates regarding the Malayalam industry’s upcoming mammoth ‘Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer’ are getting stronger with time and are attempting for an international audience appeal. The crew of the movie has announced the character reveal of the timeless actor Anushka Shetty and how it can add more flavour to such an effort.
‘Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer’ is an upcoming fantasy thriller film directed and edited by Rojin Thomas and written by R. Ramanand. It is the first of two cinematic parts. The story traces the life of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a legendary 9th-century Christian priest endowed with magical powers.
Subsequently, the movie is reported to be the second biggest movie in the Malayalam film industry where Gokulam Gopalan for Sree Gokulam Movies will be bankrolling the effort. Again, initial discussions of the crew about the production of the movie are noteworthy with the fact that this film is shot using virtual production technology in a custom-built studio, which has been reported in highly acclaimed films like James Cameroon’s ‘Avatar’.
As per credible sources, the actor will be playing the character named ‘Nila’ who can play a prevalent role with a compelling backstory and hope to deliver an exemplary performance. Followed by the speculations, she will be performing as a spirit that might give a grey-shade character which will be the actor’s novel attempt.
Also, the actor is expected to have a noteworthy feat, which is her Mollywood debut like or more than her previous movies ‘Arundhathi’, ‘Bhagamathiee’, ‘Rudramadevi’, and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ respectively.
Actor Jayasurya is playing the titular character of the film, who is expected to give his greatest feat based on his brilliant emulations in movies like ‘Vellam’, ‘Njan Marikutty’, ‘Captain’, ‘Su Su Sudhi Vaatmeekam’, etc.
On an important note, the release of foreign languages including Chinese, French, Korean, Italian, Russian, Indonesian, and Japanese is the justification for pan-world cinema. Again, the actors may be also from different regions who are mainly from theatre backgrounds, thereby the film allowing such a profound unification.
The ensemble cast will also feature actors Prabhu Deva and Vineeth Radhakrishnan respectively. Handling of cinematography by Neil D’Cunha, editing overseen by the director himself, and the music composed by Rahul Subramanian are the technical wing for which the trio has worked in previous films like ‘Home’.
