The official teaser of an upcoming Malayalam movie named ‘Oshana’ has been released by its crew on their YouTube channel. Being in the industry of making several romantic drama flicks, how can this movie be a standout?
‘Oshana’ (Eng. Hosanna or Salvation) is expected to be a romantic drama that will be directed by N V Manoj and bankrolled by Martin Joseph for MJN Productions. The storytelling will also include a slice of the coming-of-age nature that will have closer references to blockbusters like ‘Premam’ (2015) and ‘Om Shanthi Oshana’ (2014).
The technical labour includes a pool of new waves from penning the screenplay by Jithin Jose, handling the cinematography by Melvin Kurishingal, and editing overseen by Sandeep Nandakumar respectively. Mejo Joseph will be composing music and background scores who has been popular for his works in movies like ‘Traffic’ (2011) and ‘Notebook’ (2006).
The story attempts to claim that everything will be a cringe and cliché’ when it comes to the matter of being in love and having unexpected twists and turns. Hence, a hope in the uniqueness of making and engaging performances is foreseen.
The movie will be featuring actor debutant Balaji Jayarajan as the main lead, alongside actors Dhyan Sreenivasan, Althaf Salim, and Sabumon Abdusamad in important roles, and Nizhalgal Ravi, Boban Samuel, Varsha Viswanath, Gowri Gopan, Anjaya, Sminu Sijo, Krishna Sajith, Chithra, Sruthi, Sabitta, Lakshmi, Adithyan, and Janvi playing supporting roles.
