An official trailer for a Malayalam movie has been released by its crew on their YouTube channel. Fortunately, this movie will be directly streamed through this OTT platform. What can be its interesting aspects?
‘Marjaara Oru Kalluvacha Nuna’ (Eng. See Cat, this is an utter lie) is expected to be a horror-comedy drama film written and directed by Raakesh Baala, where Chacko Mullapally under the banner of Mullapally Productions will be bankrolling the effort.
The technical labour includes the handling of cinematography by Jerry Simon, editing will be overseen by Lijo Paul, and music, as well as the background scores, will be composed by Kiran Jose and Jecin George respectively.
The movie has an ensemble cast that includes actors Abhirami, Jason Chacko, Disney James, Sudheer Karamana, Late Sudhi Kollam, Hareesh Peradi, Renu Soundhar, and Tini Tom playing important roles in the effort.
As per the cast and crew, the storytelling is expected with a blend of horror, action, and romantic flavour despite the conventional sub-standard Malayalam horror narratives. However, a hope of a breakthrough or different idea is not seen regardless of performances by actors like actors Hareesh Peradi and Sudheer Karamana.
However, the movie was released on big screens in January 2020 and received below-average audience responses thereby becoming a box-office failure which might be due to its low promotion and marketing prospects. What will be its future when released on OTT?
