Although the filmography of this year has been splendid to date, a movie celebrating stardom has been lost somewhere due to its lack of blending with great content despite focusing only on the former part. Is there a light at the end of the industry’s tunnel?
Since the below-average win of ‘King of Kotha’, actor Dulquer Salmaan has not committed to any Malayalam movie and had busy schedules for some of the Telugu movies, and ‘Lucky Baskhar’ is all set to hit on big screens very soon. The possibility of the movie’s impact had been discussed earlier, but does Dulquer’s comeback after the result of ‘Lucky Baskhar’ have any impact on the Malayalam film industry?
As per credible reports, the actor is said to have plans for the upcoming Mollywood projects post-‘Lucky Baskhar’, that will be presented by the industry’s highly acclaimed creative minds and technicians. But is that the only surprise?
According to the updated list, the actor is set to join the flick directed by Nahas Hidayath, who has also directed the movie ‘R.D.X’, which was one of the top-grosser of the released period. Also, a project that is expected to be a comedy-action-drama thriller will be directed by actor Soubin Shahir, who has done movies like ‘Parava’ that have been a blockbuster and critically acclaimed.
Subsequently, the actor will be doing an effort with a debut director to which the official updates are yet to be announced. Again, an extended cameo will be played by the actor and will be directed by Arun Dominic who will have actors Naslen and Kalyani Priyadarshan in lead roles. The effort is expected to be produced by Dulquer himself for Wayfarer Productions, and speculations of actor Tovino Thomas playing another extended cameo are getting high.
As a result, all these movies are expected to bring a great impact at the box office if it may be well-utilized by the application of blending the content and star value, which can be a hope for a better revamp in the Malayalam film industry.
‘Lucky Baskhar’ is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language drama thriller film written and directed by Venky Atluri. The film is produced by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinema, and Srikara Studios.
