The attempt of Malayalam cinema to bring up a new wave is ongoing – some being too still and some turbulent. Audiences are interested in engaging factors of the visual representation. The upcoming Malayalam flick named ‘Alappuzha Gymkhana’ has such a potential that could give a different vibe for the audience who are well-exposed to international films and processes. What are its attributes for justifying such a statement?
The movie is directed by Khalid Rahman who is popular for his versatile number of movies for its genre and storytelling. All of them were well received by critics and became a commercial success. This movie is entirely expected to be an out-and-out boxing film that might remind of the popular ‘Fight Club’, which will be a new approach to Malayalam cinema.
