The prognosis in this month about the Malayalam filmography is not satiable as per credible data and reports. Recent movies released in the industry didn’t have any noteworthy efforts to date. Tamil movie ‘Vettaiyan’ is the only one that stands out due to its performance and star value.
However, do these two upcoming movies in the industry have the capability of regaining their wide viewership? What can be the attributes of the watchable factor for this release?
‘Pani’ (Eng. Job) is an upcoming 2024 Malayalam language Romantic action thriller film written and directed by actor Joju George. The film was jointly produced by M Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan under the banners of Appu Pathu Pappu and AD Studios. This is the directorial debut by the actor.
Actors Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, Junaiz VP, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Seema, Chandini Sreedharan, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shankar, and Rinosh George will play important roles. Also, this movie is intended to feature over forty new faces.
The cinematography includes the cinematography by Venu ISC and Jinto George, editing overseen by Manu Antony, music composed by Vishnu Vijay, and background scores by Sam C S respectively.
The movie has the compatibility in becoming a great competitor to a movie like Bougainvillea due to its hype in technical labour, and the performance by the cast. But is that only necessary?
‘Pani’ is expected to be released on big screens on the 24th of October.
On the other hand, ‘Thrayam’ (Eng. The tri points) is expected to be a suspense thriller that is being directed by debutant filmmaker Sanjith Chandrasenan, while Arun K Gopinath, also a debutant, has written the story.
The film features a stellar cast that includes actors Dhyan Sreenivasan, Sunny Wayne, Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, Aju Varghese, Dain Davis, Chandhunadh, Shalu Rahim, Sarayu Mohan, Sreejith Ravi, and Karthik Ramakrishnan respectively.
The film is being bankrolled under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films. For music, the makers have roped in Arun Muraleedharan, while the cinematography is done by Jiju Sunny and Ratheesh Raj is doing the editing. The flick is expected to be released on the 25th of this month.
On the contrary, the marketing and ground promotions seem to be dull for both flicks which can be a demerit for the efforts despite the online rampage. Nevertheless, these movies can take up the responsibility of giving the best to the box office.
