All We Imagine As Light is not getting nominated in the Oscars. The list is out and the Payal Kapadia masterpiece is nowhere to be seen.
The film was not an official entry by India, but the makers tried their best to push it through several different marketing tactics. It didn’t work, but as we always say, let’s not make the Oscars the measuring standard for any film’s quality. There are so many things to be considered in judging a film, and given its history, Oscars should never be one aspect.
But we Indians are obsessed with it. So, what do you think?
What are Indians saying about the snub of All We Imagine As Light in the Oscars?
Of course some people will find All We Imagine As Light very boring. After all, it is not a film for the masses. A lot of such people will call it overrated too.
So is happening with the film. A lot of people, especially Indians, are calling the film overrated. They even praise the Oscar committee for this decision.
But there are a far greater number of people who are not very happy about this decision. They are of the opinion that the film deserves to be nominated and it was snubbed.
What do you think about it?

I may not like that movie but I feel if it would've got support it needed,it surely had made it to this list and would've been a worthy competitor #allweimagineaslight https://t.co/GTYqpTanja

The most random list ever. How FFI robbed us of a possible Oscar this year… Main category was always going to be a long shot but we hoped #AllWeImagineAsLight #Oscars https://t.co/kMdqTwdn5F
