Rifle Club is now streaming on Netflix India. The Malayalam movie is not a great one. It has many many flaws but it is an entertaining film. It was a commercial success but not something that would attract eyeballs from a global stage.
Rifle Club is directed by and it hit theaters on December 19, 2024. The film takes viewers to the serene Western Ghats, where an actor, Shajahan, joins a historic rifle club to prepare for a hunting-themed role. What begins as training for a film soon turns into a dangerous adventure.
The plot moves forward when a couple fleeing from a dangerous gang led by an arms dealer, seeks refuge at the club. Suddenly, the peaceful club becomes the stage for a high-stakes showdown between its members and the gang. Much like a battleground as we see in a Clint Eastwood and Quentin Tarantino films.
The cast includes Vijayaraghavan, Dileesh Pothan, and Anurag Kashyap.
But what are the people saying about the film?
Well, they are going gaga over the film. The most important aspect of the film is of course the entertainment factor. People are loving the gun fight scenes and also exploring the many parallels to a typical Clint Eastwood film.
