Although it was recently revealed in a psychological study that watching both thrillers and true-crime inspired content, solely for the purpose of relaxing in front of your television screens could potentially be a ‘red flag’, what does it amount to in the face of true, avid fans?
With that being said, a new title, directed by Ullas Chemban has been added to the viewing library at Aha! ‘Anchakkallakokkan: Porattu’ is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language action drama film whose title technically stands for ‘Chapra Murder Case (1987)’.
The bloody posters for the film bear a good testament to what lies throughout its 124-minute runtime. Starring Lukman Avaran, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Manikandan R. Achari in prominent roles, the plotline of the film follows a rookie cop who finds himself untangling a convoluted web of deceit in the aftermath of a truly shocking confession.
Although the film has been streaming on Prime Video already, viewers who don’t have access to the platform can now head over to Aha instead. The story, set in Kerala, follows the aforementioned cop who has been assigned to his first case, and a truly mind-boggling one at that.
When a blacksmith confesses to the murder of a landlord, things go awry all around!
