A recent Malayalam movie has made its official announcement in releasing for OTT streaming for the upcoming day. ‘Vaazha: A Biopic of Billion Boys’ is a coming-of-age comedy-drama film that had its theatrical release on the 15th of August and was a great commercial success.
The movie is directed by debutant Anand Menen and written by Vipin Das who has directed films like ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya He’ and ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’. This is produced by Harris Desom, P B Anish, Adarsh Narayan, and the writer himself for WBTS Productions as well as Imagin Cinemas. The technical labour includes a pool of future talents like handling of cinematography by Aravind Puthussery, editing by Kannan Mohan, and music composed by Ankit Menon respectively.
Subsequently, the flick features an ensemble cast of talented debutants Siju Sunny, Saaf Bros, Joemon Jyothir, Amith Mohan Rajeswari, Anuraj OB, and Anshid followed by actors Jagadish, Kottayam Nazeer, Azees Nedumangad, and Noby Marcose in supporting roles respectively.
According to the synopsis, Vaazha (Eng. Plantain tree) talks about the lives of five friends, often labeled as “losers” by society, as they navigate the challenges of adulthood. The film delves into their friendships, relationships with their parents, and their search for identity and purpose. The best part of the flick is expected to be its style of storytelling which can have an engaging factor throughout the time.
Furthermore, the film explores themes of friendship, family, love, and the complexities of growing up. It portrays the struggles and aspirations of countless young people who find themselves in similar situations. The movie is a compelling franchise and the crew has already announced its second part which is expected to come soon in theatres.
The movie will be streaming on the Disney+Hotstar OTT platform and is dated the 23rd of September in various languages which include Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
