March promises to be a packed and stacked month at Netflix. A whole lot of exciting Netflix original movies and series will premiere on the platform in March. There’s an epic sci-fi series from the creators of Game Of Thrones; a feel-good Millie Bobby Brown movie; a couple of buzzy Indian offerings; a riveting crime drama, and more, coming to Netflix globally next month.
Without much ado, here are ten of the must-watch shows and movies streaming on Netflix in March –
1. Spaceman, Movie, 1st March
Adapted from Jaroslav Kalfař’s novel ‘Spaceman of Bohemia’, the film is helmed by Johan Renck, creator of HBO’s ‘Chernobyl’. Spaceman follows astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), whose wife (Carey Mulligan) wants to end their marriage. Up in his spaceship on a six-month long solo mission, he realises he has a stowaway – a spider-like alien (Paul Dano), who becomes his emotional anchor and guiding light.
2. Maamla Legal Hai, Series, 1st March
Hindi courtroom comedy series ‘Maamla Legal Hai’ follows a bunch of over-the-top legal eagles at Delhi’s Parpatganj District Court, as they indulge in hilarious shenanigans in court. Created by Posham Pa Pictures, it stars Ravi Kishann, Vivek Mushran, Yashpal Sharma, Nidhi Bisht, Tanvi Azmi, Anant Vijay Joshi, Naila Grewal.
3. Supersex, Series, 6th March
Supersex is a 7-episode Italian limited series, which follows Rocco Tano, a simple guy from Ortona, Italy, and his journey to becoming Rocco Siffredi, the most famous porn star in the world. The series is based on the real-life Italian porn star. Alessandro Borghi plays Rocco Siffredi. Also starring Gaia Messerklinger, Claire Loth, Jasmine Trinca, Adriano Giannini, Saul Nanni, Enrico Borello, Vincenzo Nemolato
4. The Gentlemen, Series, 7th March
The Gentlemen series is directed by Guy Ritchie, and is a spin-off of his 2019 movie of the same name. Theo James plays Eddie Halstead, heir to a sprawling estate that is unfortunately part of a huge crime empire run by formidable drug lord, Mickey Pearson. The new Duke of Halstead must learn the ropes of the trade or ship out. Also starring Kaya Scodelario, Vinnie Jones, Daniel Ings, and Joely Richardson.
5. The Signal, Series, 7th March
When an astronaut’s plane mysteriously vanishes mid-air during a mission, her husband and daughter try to investigate her disappearance, only to uncover terrifying hidden secrets. Starring Florian David Fitz, Peri Baumeister, Yuna Bennett, Hadi Khanjanpour, and our very own Sheeba Chadha.
6. Damsel, Movie, 8th March
Damsel is a fantasy drama that twists age-old fairy tales on their head. The movie stars Millie Bobby Brown as a brave maiden, who instead of waiting to be saved by a Prince Charming, must play her own saviour and fight a ferocious dragon to free herself and the other girls kept captive by the dragon.
7. Bandidos, Series, 13th March
Mexican series ‘Bandidos’ follows a bunch of treasure hunters, in search of treasure underwater, on a Spanish galleon that sunk in the Gulf of Mexico during the War of Independence. However, they’re not the only ones after the bounty. Stars Alfonso Dosal, Ester Expósito, Juan Pablo Medina, Mabel Cadena, Nicolás Furtado, Andrés Baida, among others.
8. Murder Mubarak, Movie, 15th March
Murder Mubarak is a murder mystery, adapted from Anuja Chauhan’s ‘Club You To Death’. Set amidst high-society Delhi, ‘Murder Mubarak’ follows mild-mannered Delhi cop ACP Bhavani Singh (Pankaj Tripathi), as he investigates the murder of a hunky gym instructor. Also starring Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra and Suhail Nayyar.
9. Chicken Nugget, Series, 15th March
Korean comedy drama Chicken Nugget follows a young woman who enters a mysterious machine thinking it is a fatigue recovery machine and turns into a chicken nugget, and her father and his intern as they rush to try to bring her back into human form. Starring Ryu Seung-ryong, Kim Yoo-jung, Ahn Jae-hong.
10. The Three Body Problem, Series, 21st March
Epic sci-fi thriller ‘The Three-Body Problem’ comes from Game Of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. An astrophysicist, who saw her father brutally murdered during the Chinese Cultural Revolution, makes a decision that reverberates across space and time. Across continents and decades, five brilliant friends make earth-shattering discoveries as the laws of science unravel, forcing them to face humanity’s greatest threat.
