12 Indian Films Arriving On OTT In The Next 12 Days!

Indian OTT platforms are going places. Earlier film buffs waited for the theatrical release of buzzy films. But nowadays, viewers wait for films to arrive on OTT platforms, so that they can watch them in the comfort of their homes. A trip to the theatres is reserved mostly for big budget films with top actors.

As a result, most movies arrive on OTT within a month of their theatrical release, some even earlier. A gazillion Indian films are set to release on all the top OTT platforms in India in the rest of April. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, Aha Video – all the top Indian OTT platforms have lined up an interesting mix of films for OTT release.

With so many films releasing on OTT, it’s quite a task to keep track of them all. So we at Binged have compiled all upcoming Indian films releasing on OTT in one single list. 1. James – Kannada film, SonyLIV, April 14

James is the first release of Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar after his shocking death. The crime thriller and action drama has Puneeth Rajkumar playing an intelligence officer on a mission to bust a notorious crime syndicate. Also stars Priya Anand, R Sarathkumar, Srikanth, among others.

2. Selfie -Tamil film, Aha Tamil, April 14

Selfie is a hard-hitting Tamil film, centred on educational admission scams in the country. G.V. Prakash Kumar plays the lead in the film. Gautham Menon, Varsha Bollamma, Sangili Murugan, Subramaniam Siva, Vidya Pradeep, Vagai Chandrasekhar and Thangadurai make up the rest of the cast.

3. Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu – Telugu film, SonyLIV, April 15

Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu is a Telugu romantic comedy, written and directed by Kishore Tirumala. Sharwanand stars as a young man, brought up by five strong women. Rashmika Mandanna plays his love interest, who must win the hearts of the women to unite with the love of her life. The film also stars Khushbu Sundar, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Urvashi, among others.

4. Bachchhan Paandey – Hindi film, Prime Video, April 15

Bachchhan Paandey is an action comedy, with Akshay Kumar playing the ruthless titular gangster in it. Kriti Sanon plays an aspiring director who decides to make a biopic on the one-eyed gangster, with interesting and humorous results

5. Bloody Mary – Telugu film, Aha Video, April 15

Bloody Mary will mark the OTT debut of rising star, Nivetha Pethuraj. The movie is a suspense thriller, written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti. It also stars Rajkumar Kasireddy, Kireeti, Brahmaji, Ajay, among others.

6. Enna Solla Pogirai – Tamil film, ZEE5, April 15

Enna Solla Pogirai is a Tamil rom-com, written and directed by A. Hariharan. The film stars Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan, Teju Ashwini and Avantika Mishra, along with with Pugazh, Delhi Ganesh, Subbu Panchu and Swaminathan.

7. Veyil – Malayalam film, Prime Video, April 15

Veyil is a family drama, directed by Sarath Menon, and starring Shane Nigam, Shine Tom Chacko, Sreerekhaa, Saed Imran, among others. The story is about a troubled youngster (Shane Nigam), who shares a difficult relationship with his widowed mother (Sreerekhaa), and brother (Saed Imran). The film highlights the complexities of relationships and their significance.

8. Main Viyah Nahi Karona Tere Naal – Punjabi film, ZEE5, April 15

Main Viyah Nahi Karona Tere Naal is a Punjabi romantic drama, directed by Rupinder Inderjit, and starring Gurnam Bhullar and Sonam Bajwa. An NRI YouTuber from Canada visits Punjab for the first time and falls in love with a desi rooted girl who eventually helps him discover his roots.

9. Toolsidas Junior – Hindi film, Netflix, April 19

Toolsidas Junior is a heartwarming snooker-centred film, presented by Ashutosh Gowariker. When his father Toolsidas (Rajiv Kapoor) loses an important snooker tournament, his 13-year-old son takes on the impossible journey to bring his father’s name on the Winner’s Board, with the help of veteran snooker player Mohd Salaam (Sanjay Dutt).

10. Kuthiraivaal -Tamil film, Netflix, April 20

Kuthiraivaal is a psychological drama film, written by G. Rajesh and co-directed by Manoj Leonel Jahson and Shyam Sunder. It stars Kalaiyarasan, Anjali Patil, Sowmya Jaganmurthy, Anand Sami and Chetan in lead roles. Kuthiraivaal uses fantastical elements of magical realism to tell the story of a man who wakes up from a dream to find that he has grown a horse’s tail.

11. Oh My Dog – Tamil film, Prime Video, April 21

Oh My Dog brings three generations of a family together in a film – the grandfather-father-son trio of Vijaykumar, Arun Vijay and Arnav Vijay. Arnav Vijay plays a young boy, who shares an unshakeable bond with his Siberian Husky pet dog, Simba. Produced by Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment.

12. Antakshari – Malayalam film, SonyLIV, April 22

Antakshari is a psychological suspense thriller, set in the backdrop of the age-old game of Antakshari. Only here, the game takes on sinister undertones. Antakshari is directed by Vipin Das, presented by Jeethu Joseph, and stars Saiju Kurup, Vijay Babu, Sudhi Koppa, Binu Pappa, Priyanka Nair, among others.
