Netflix has dropped the trailer for its upcoming French action comedy film ‘The Takedown’ and its all things exciting. Helmed by ‘Lupin’ director Louis Leterrier, ‘The Takedown’ will premiere on Netflix on 6th May, 2022.
The trailer begins with Ousmane Diakité (Omar Sy) getting teased by his cop colleague François Monge (Laurent Lafitte) and that’s the very reason Ousmane doesn’t like working with François but one unlikely case reunites them after a decade and they are left with no choice.
With two bodies discovered in two days their superior wants them to team up and stop the murders as soon as possible. But the problem is that these two cops have very different styles, backgrounds and careers that makes them a pretty mismatched duo.
The intriguing murder mystery takes them to a divided French town where they are joined by Alice Gauthier. The trio then together begins the chase for the criminals that’s filled with action, humour, adventure and a lot more.
‘The Takedown’ is an action comedy film where two police officers take on a case of what seemed to be a simple drug deal but turns out to be a high scale criminal case wrapped in danger and unexpected comedy.
Written by Stéphane Kazandjian (‘Wedding Unplanned’), ‘The Takedown’ is directed by Louis Leterrier (‘The Incredible Hulk’, ‘Now You See Me’). The film stars Omar Sy (‘Lupin’, ‘Jurassic World’), Laurent Lafitte (‘Dear Mother’, ‘Elle’), Izïa Higelin (‘Summertime’), Dimitri Storoge (‘La Révoultion’), Stéphane Pezerat, Catherine Schaub Abkarian, David Bàn, Léa Dauvergne and Sylvia Bergé. ‘The Takedown’ will release on Netflix on 6th May, 2022.
