2023 Hindi Films Which Deserved More Love & Where to Stream on OTT

In the year 2023, the Hindi film industry witnessed several movies which performed brilliantly at the box-office. The list includes ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, ‘OMG 2’, and more recently ‘Animal’, amongst others.

On the other hand, there were also some Hindi films which were released in theatres but, for some reason, could not get the love and recognition from critics and audiences or the box-office numbers they probably deserved. We have compiled a list of those well-made Hindi language Indian movies which deserved more love along with their OTT platforms in which they are currently streaming.

Afwaah (Streaming on Netflix)
Helmed by Sudhir Mishra, the film revolves around an advertising professional Rahab (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and a political heiress Nivi (Bhumi Pednekar) whose lives suddenly take a U-turn after an ill-intentioned rumour is spread by an influential politician.

Ghoomer (Streaming on Zee5)
The film’s story revolves around how a paraplegic sports person (played by Saiyami Kher) performs and aspires to become a champion under the guidance of her eccentric coach (Abhishek Bachchan) despite all odds. It’s inspired by the incredible story of the late Hungarian shooter who had won two Olympic medals after his right hand was seriously injured.

Mission Raniganj (Streaming on Netflix)
The survival thriller movie starring Akshay Kumar follows the story of a brilliant IIT engineer who devises a plan to rescue a large group of miners trapped in the Raniganj coalfields.

Three Of Us (Streaming on Netflix)
The film features Shefali Shah in the role of a middle-aged woman diagnosed with retrograde amnesia. Before she begins to lose her memories, she decides to visit her native village accompanied by her husband where she must deal with her traumatic past and her childhood lover.

Faraaz (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film takes place over a period of one fateful night where the titular protagonist Faraaz (played by Zahan Kapoor) is taken hostage during a terrorist attack in a Dhaka café.

Bheed (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the movie ostensibly revolves around a group of migrant workers and the problems they face during extremely tough times in the lockdown period. It features Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Kapur, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.

Shastry Viruddh Shastry (Streaming on Netflix)
The family drama movie revolves around a seven-year-old boy, who lives with his grandparents (Paresh Rawal and Neena Kulkarni) in Panchgani. The boy’s parents, who live in Mumbai, visit their child during the weekends. But the story takes a serious turn when the boy’s father gets a chance to work abroad, and it creates a rift between the boy’s parents and grandparents owing to the child’s custody.

Lakadbaggha (Streaming on Zee5)
The action thriller movie features Anshuman Jha (Love, Sex Aur Dhokha) as an animal lover and a martial arts expert, who transforms into a vigilante after learning about an illegal animal trade cell in Kolkata.
