However, in an unprecedented turn of events, three blockbuster Malayalam features have successfully bagged positions in the list of Indian films that have crossed the 100 Cr mark this year.
This comes immediately following the Bollywood statistic: 4 movies. These critically acclaimed Mollywood films include titles like: the gripping thriller Manjummel Boys, the captivating rom-com Premalu and Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life, the newest survival drama in town!
The fact that the industry is facing a groundbreakingly prosperous year bears testament to the importance of the availability of more such titles on renowned OTT platforms. Not just Mollywood, 2024 has proved to be a good year for South Indian cinema as Tollywood has also witnessed superhits like HanuMan and Gunturkaaram!
Having delivered such strong performances, nothing less of the sort is expected from the industry for the upcoming months. As for streaming these fan favorites on OTT? Well, that’s an expectation we hope to have fulfilled soon enough!
