Director Maruthi is one of the bankable directors in Telugu. He is known for harping on comedy and making his film easy to watch for the audience and bankable for producers. Now, the director is venturing into the OTT space for Aha Video – the Regional Telugu Exclusive OTT platform.
He is presenting a web series called ‘3 Roses’ and the first glimpse of the first season of the web series is out now. As the title indicates the poster has three girls chilling out in a bar. We do not get to see their faces. The web series is said to be a fun ride like Maruthi’s films.
The concept of Web series is in a very nascent stage in Telugu. Whatever has come are from relatively lesser-known names. Someone like Maruthi makes it mainstream. If the web series has someone big in the cast as well. 3 Roses for sure will make a big noise. This is another big stride by Aha Video in churning out interesting content for the Telugu audience in the OTT space. A newcomer Maggie directs 3 Roses while Ravi Namburi has written the film. SKN has produced the web series which has music by Sunny MR.
