Not one or two, but a total of 3 South Indian films are arriving on OTT on the 18th of February and South Indian OTT audiences could not have been more excited. The most prominent title on the list is Hridayam, which turned out to be a successful venture at the box office for everyone involved.
The Pranav Mohanlal starrer is one of those films which receive critical acclaim and also go on to put on a good show at the box office. The film has Pranav, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Darshana Rajendran, Arun Kurian, and others in the lead roles and it went on a good run at the ticket counters. “A man in his early 30s reflects on his misspent youth and the rocky road that brought him to adulthood.” The film’s plot reads. The Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial is set to arrive on Disney+ Hotstar on the 18th of February.
Meppadiyan is another critically acclaimed film on the list. The film has Unni Mukundan, Kottayam Ramesh, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, Anju Kurian, Nisha Sarang and Kalabhavan Shajohn, and others in the lead roles. Based on a true story, the film chronicles the life of one Jayakrishnan. The film arrives on Amazon Prime Video from the 18th of this month.
Enemy has Vishal, Arya, Dimple Hayati, and others in the central roles. Tipped to be a commercially packed action drama, it is the first Tamil film to release in theatres post the Covid third wave. The film was a washout at the box office. It is now gearing up for its digital premieres as it will be made availale for streaming on Sony Liv from the 18th of this month.
