Rana Daggubati has launched the teaser of upcoming Telugu film ‘35 Chinna Katha Kaadu’ and its the struggle filled tale of a young boy and his failure to get the basics right. Helmed by Nanda Kishore Emani, the film is called ‘35 Chinna Katha Kaadu’ and will release in cinemas in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam on 15th August, 2024.
The teaser shows how a small family of four is living a normal happy life, but the focus soon shifts to one of their sons, a young boy who studies in 5th standard and fails to understand the basics of mathematics. So much so that he is not able to get the minimum passing marks of 35 in test.
The blame, as seen usually in Indian societies, falls upon the mother who herself wasn’t able to clear her 10th standard and the husband doesn’t shy away from taunting her for this. Unable to face the trauma, the beating and scolding, the boy runs away from home and then begins the journey to get him back. In this whole thing the mother and father realise a lot.
‘35 Chinna Katha Kaadu’ is a simple yet heartwarming story that serves as a reflection of how young children are pressurised to fit into the set moulds of society and aren’t allowed to be curious or creative. How this affects their mental health and whole childhood is shown through the film.
The film also tries to take a glance through the mother’s lens who is more than just a mother and a wife but has an identity of her own too but when it comes to her child’s safety her timidity turns into ferociousness.
The frames in the teaser look good with moments of grief and anxiousness having a recurring theme of thunder, storm and rain. Only the other hand happy moments have a bright sun shine. Nivetha Thomas makes a good screen presence in the teaser.
