The third season of the Netflix original web series, ‘Sex Education’, will premiere on the streaming platform next week. The first (and final) trailer for this coming-of-age TV series dropped yesterday and social media has been going crazy so far. The trailer was everything we hoped for and more. While many new fan theories have popped up over the last 12 hours or so since the trailer dropped – here are 4 things you might have missed while checking out the promotional video of Netflix’s ‘Sex Education:
No More Lessons?
Every episode of Sex Education (so far) has done exactly what the series title means – provides us with a Sex Education lesson. While we don’t think the lessons will completely stop (a slight “wordplay with this title), the trailer looks like we will likely get a more plot-driven season this time around (not that is a bad thing).
Otis & Ruby
Many of you may have already guessed it, Otis and Ruby will likely be a “thing” this year. We feel Ruby will get attracted to Otis because he will likely not actively pursue her as her other one night stands do. Plus, we see them holding hands in the trailer and also see a bangle-covered hand pull Otis into a bathroom stall – a hand that looks very much like Ruby’s.
Lily’s Fantasies
Many of you might have forgotten, Lily loves to draw comics. She even lives in her fantasy world at one point (in her mind) and has various sexual fantasies from the world she created. Looks like Lily’s “Universe” is back in this season and it will be like never before. We see an animated version of her and Ola in the trailer as well – which is very cool.
Rahim Is Still Here
We only get a small glimpse of Eric’s ex-boyfriend in the audience while the new headmistress makes her announcement – but it is official; Rahim is still here. Since he didn’t turn up during the rest of the trailer, we have yet to see what is going to happen with his character – but we are still excited to see Rahim back on screen. Maybe we could get a Rahim-Anwar pairing, this time around?
‘Sex Education’ will premiere on Netflix on September 17th 2021. Check out the trailer below:
