Saadat Hassan Manto is a name no literature student can afford to not know. He was known for his unapologetic and unfiltered writings that were often labeled obscene. But even after that, he was a great writer and it is an undisputed fact.
When Nandita Das decided to direct his biopic, she chose Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The collaboration was absolutely great and so was the film. It is raw, unapologetic, and real just like the writings of Manto.
