Netflix’s ‘Three Body Problem’, aka stylised as 3-Body Problem, premiered on the streaming giant this week. Ever since, it has stirred up a storm on social media. Almost everyone who’s watched or is watching the show has been raving about it on X, etc.
For those who don’t know, Netflix’s Three-Body Problem is a sci-fi show that comes from Game Of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The story is said to be more epic than Game Of Thrones, more mind-bending than Dark, and more thrilling than Westworld. The narrative spans several generations, and over 450 years, with time jumps and alternate universes adding to the intrigue.

A time loop show, Russian Doll centres on a coder, a woman who’s stuck in a weird loop wherein she repeatedly attends a party on her 36th birthday, dies at the end of the night, but wakes up unharmed the next day, only to have the same events play out on loop. Natasha Lyonne has created the show, and also stars in it, along with Annie Murphy in Russian Doll Season 2. The series is not as grave as the other shows in this list, but a dark comedy with a compelling premise.
3. The Leftovers – Streaming on Jio Cinema
HBO original series ‘The Leftovers’ is a sci-fi cum supernatural drama, created by Damon Lindelof, who’s also created ‘Lost’ before this. The series follows the events in the aftermath of a stunning phenomenon called the “Sudden Departure”, that caused 2% of the population to disappear forever. The leftovers in the title refers to the ones that were left behind, and how they cope with the disappearance of their loved ones. The series stars Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Carrie Coon, among others.
4. Severance – Streaming on Apple TV Plus
Highly acclaimed sci-fi series ‘Severance’ is directed by actor Ben Stiller. It boasts a sophisticated plot centred on a team of office workers who agree to a “severance” program, by which their memories are surgically divided between their work and personal lives. When one of the employees of the company Mark S. (Adam Scott) realises that something is terribly wrong, he embarks on a mission to uncover the truth about their jobs. 5. The Lazarus Project – Streaming on Jio Cinema
HBO original series ‘The Lazarus Project’ is a twisty time-loop thriller, with an intriguing deep dive into human psychology. The series follows George, who thinks he is beginning to lose touch with reality when he finds himself living the same day, over and over again. A chance encounter with a man called Archie reveals that George is very much in touch with reality, but that reality is stranger than fiction.
