5 Must-Watch 90-Minute Movies You Can Watch on OTT

It’s the weekend and we are back again with another useful binge-watch list. This time we have collated five must-watch films with a runtime of around or under 90 minutes. We have tried to handpick entertaining and well-made films of various genres which you can enjoy even if you’re short on time. We hope you’ll enjoy these films as much as we had enjoyed compiling this list for you.

District B13 (Streaming on MX Player)

This one is a French action movie helmed by Pierre Morrel, who later went to direct one of the best revenge actioners of all time – ‘Taken’. ‘District B13’ is set in the near future in the titular ghetto in Paris which is controlled by a merciless criminal Taha. Amidst all this, a dynamic undercover cop Damien teams up with a righteous fighter to retrieve a ticking neutron bomb in a race against time. The overall entertaining film boats of a never-seen-before chase sequence, which alone makes it a worthy watch.

City Lights (Streaming on Mubi)

It’s a timeless rom-com written, directed, produced by, and features one of the greatest entertainers of all time – Charlie Chaplin. The 1931 silent film’s plotline revolves around Charlie Chaplin’s legendary character Tramp, a good-hearted person who falls in love with a blind flower seller. He tries to help the girl financially, albeit with hilarious consequences. Watch out for a rib-tickling boxing match sequence – one of the film’s highlights.

Run (Streaming on Netflix)

Helmed by Aneesh Chaganty, this psychological thriller film revolves around the story of a wheelchair-ridden and home-schooled teenaged girl (played by Kiera Allen). After a series of peculiar incidents, the girl begins to strongly suspect that her mother (played by Sarah Paulson) is hiding something sinister from her. Covertly, she sets about investigating her mother’s bizarre behavior leading to some startling revelations.

The Man from Earth (Streaming on Tubi, Plex)

Mostly shot in just one room, it’s a truly engaging sci-fi mystery film that revolves around a farewell get-together for outgoing Professor John Oldman. During the farewell party, the professor makes an astounding confession about who he actually is. The intriguing intellectual arguments that follow thereafter form the crux of this unique movie. This rare gem deserves your attention and clocks in just under 90 minutes.

Cube (Streaming on Lionsgate Play)

Cube’ is an engaging science fiction mystery thriller that follows a group of disparate strangers who wake up to find themselves in a massive cube with possibly hundreds of rooms filled with traps. They must team up together and use their unique skills in order to escape the seemingly infinite and deadly maze.
