Helmed by Brett Ratner, the action-comedy movie starts off with the kidnapping of a Chinese diplomat’s daughter in America. Now, a dedicated and upright Hong Kong cop (Jackie Chan) must team up with an easy-going and reckless but good-hearted LAPD cop (Chris Tucker) to rescue the girl.
It’s a sequel to Antoine Fuqua’s terrific action flick ‘The Equalizer’ (which we had recommended earlier). In the sequel, Denzel Washington reprises his role as the highly trained former CIA Black Ops turned vigilante who makes it his mission to avenge the death of his close friend. The movie also features ‘The Last Of Us’ star Pedro Pascal in an interesting role.
Directed by Russo Brothers, the movie revolves around an experienced CIA mercenary Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), who becomes the target of his own organization after learning about its dark secrets. Consequently, he is pursued by his psychopath ex-colleague Lloyd Hansen (played by Chris Evans), leaving him with no other option than to become a fugitive. It also features Ana de Armas and Dhanush.
The story revolves around an aging Secret Service Agent Frank Horrigan (played by Clint Eastwood), who is taunted by a disillusioned yet ingenious assassin about his plans to assassinate the President. Horrigan, who is ridden with the guilt of his past failure to save President Kennedy, makes it his mission to track the assassin to redeem his past mistake.
The underrated film features Arnold Schwarzenegger as an ex-LAPD narcotics officer, who is now a sheriff of a sleepy border town. But his quiet and peaceful life is soon disrupted by a wanted drug lord, who is on the run from the FBI. Now, it’s up to the reluctant sheriff and his ragtag bunch of staff to stop the dreaded criminal from getting away.
