A Serious Man, 2009 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube – Rent)
Directed by Coen Bros, the dark dramedy set in the year 1967 follows the story of a physics professor (played by Michael Stuhlbarg), whose personal and professional lives are going through a terrible phase. He takes advice from three rabbis in his pursuit to become a serious man and to tackle his problems.
No Country for Old Men, 2007 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video – Rent)
This neo-Western Academy Award-winning film was helmed by the Coen Brothers. During a hunting trip, a welder (Josh Brolin) steals $2 million cash from a drug deal gone wrong. On his trail to track the money is a psychopathic hitman (Javier Bardem) while the case is investigated by an aging sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones).
The Mist, 2007 (Streaming on Netflix, Lionsgate Play)
Helmed by Frank Darabont (Director – The Shawshank Redemption), the film’s plot follows the Drayton family which lives in the small Maine town. One night, an intense storm hits the town after which a mysterious mist engulfs the whole area. The family gets trapped inside a supermarket where the town residents learn about killer creatures from some other dimension apparently emerging out of the mist.
Logan, 2017 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The movie features Hugh Jackman as an enhanced mutant, who is now older and past his prime. He is living a low-key life along with the ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart). Their lives suddenly take a U-turn when a mysterious and troubled young girl arrives. Now, Logan must use whatever he has got to protect her at all costs from a powerful and evil corporation who wants her dead.
