Set in a US Navy battleship, this action film revolves around a disgraced former Navy SEAL turned personal cook (Steven Seagal), who must use his very particular set of skills to stop a group of terrorists led by a disillusioned ex-CIA operative (Tommy Lee Jones) from taking control of the ship.
Upgrade, 2018 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video – Rent)
The sci-fi action flick follows the story of a mechanic named Grey, whose wife was killed after a mugging incident, and which also left him paralyzed. Soon after, a billionaire offers a now suicidal and helpless Grey the golden chance to walk again with the help of a highly advanced chip. After the procedure, the protagonist gains superhuman strength and decides to exact revenge for his wife’s death from those responsible.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E., 2015 (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Guy Ritchie, the spy action film is set against the backdrop of the early 1960s period when the cold war was at its peak. The story revolves around how a CIA agent (Henry Cavill) is forced to team up with a KGB agent (Armie Hammer) in a mission to fight against an international crime organization which is hellbent on disrupting the delicate power balance between USA and Soviet Union.
The Accountant, 2016 (Streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video)
The action-thriller movie revolves around an autistic but brilliant accountant (played by Ben Affleck) who is also highly trained in martial arts. He deploys his unique set of skills to uncook the books of dangerous organizations. The movie also features Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal, and J.K. Simmons in important roles.
