The Hateful Eight (2015, Streaming on Lionsgate Play)
Directed by Quentin Tarantino, the film follows a bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russel) who is traveling with his fugitive prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and another bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson). On the way to the Red Rock town, they take refuge in a cabin following a blizzard where they encounter some strange characters. Will they make it out alive?
The Revenant (2015, Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
This was the film that won Leonardo Di Caprio a well-deserved Oscar for his performance. In the year 1823, a famed frontiersman Hugh Glass (Leonardo Di Caprio) is left for dead by his hunting team after a grizzly bear fatally injures him. Driven by his vengeance and the will to survive, Hugh Glass uses his unique skills in an unkind terrain to track down his former associate (Tom Hardy) who had betrayed him.
No Country for Old Men (2007, Streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video)
This neo-Western Academy Award-winning film was helmed by the Coen Brothers (Directors – Fargo, Miller’s Crossing). During a hunting trip, a welder (Josh Brolin) steals $2 million cash from a drug deal gone wrong. On his trail to track the money is a psychopathic hitman (Javier Bardem) while the case is investigated by an aging sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones).
